According to Calciomercato, CSKA Moscow have agreed a £7 million deal to sign reported Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion target Adolfo Gaich.

The Argentine striker has been heavily linked with a move this summer.

Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa was linked with a move for his compatriot by PassioneInter, while West Brom were recently cited as suitors by TYC Sports.

The Championship duo, however, appear set to miss out on the powerful striker.

Calciomercato claim a deal with Russian side CSKA Moscow has been struck, despite interest from Serie A giants AC Milan and Antonio Conte’s Inter.

Gaich had been scoring for fun in his native Argentina with San Lorenzo.

Standing at 6ft 3inch, Gaich has been given the nickname ‘The Tank’ while comparisons have been drawn with current Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

West Brom may have been looking at Gaich as an alternative to Kenneth Zohore.

The Baggies took another step towards the Premier League with victory over Derby County on Wednesday. However, some could argue they still lack a top striker.

Zohore and Charlie Austin have often been rotated, but neither are top-flight quality.

Leeds, meanwhile, may look for an alternative to Patrick Bamford.

The Whites are also on the verge of a return to England’s top-flight and Bielsa will have to beef up Leeds’ squad this summer to deal with the rigorous demands.
