The West Bromwich Albion defender played for Leeds United on loan.

Fans of Leeds United were given even more reason to like Kyle Bartley after his West Bromwich Albion side were beaten at Elland Road on Tuesday.
Bartley, who spent the 2016-17 season on loan to Leeds from Swansea City, deflected Ezgjan Alioski’s 38th-minute strike beyond his own goalkeeper, enabling the Whites to inflict a first Championship defeat of the season on West Brom and leapfrog them at the top of the table.
Afterwards, the centre-back, who remains close friends with Leeds’ Luke Ayling, was seen applauding the United faithful and smiling with some of his former colleagues, much to the delight of some of a Whites persuasion…

Despite pleas from Leeds fans to bring back Bartley from Swansea, it was to West Brom that the 28-year-old moved for a reported fee of around £4 million in 2018.
But he has so far struggled to bowl over the Baggies support base in the manner that he managed to at Elland Road.
