Borussia Dortmund have indicated they intend to keep Raphael Guerreiro as Premier League quartet Leeds United, Aston Villa, Newcastle and Wolves eye the Bundesliga ace, via Kicker.
With two goals and eight assists in his last eight games in all competitions, the experienced Portugal international is certainly doing his hopes of a new deal at Signal Iduna Park no harm.
Guerreiro, as things stand, will be a free-agent in July.
According to 90Min, Leeds, Aston Villa and a Newcastle side pursuing left-back targets are keeping a close eye on Guerreiro’s situation. As are a Wolverhampton Wanderers outfit who can already boast their fair share of Iberian talent.

But, with the former FC Lorient ace playing some of the best football of his Dortmund career, sporting director Sebastian Kehl insists that reports suggesting that Guerreiro is packing his bags and dusting off his passport have been overblown.
Leeds, Aston Villa, Newcastle and Wolves like Raphael Guerreiro
“It was written weeks ago that a decision had already been made that Raphael Guerreiro would leave us. That is not the case,” Kehl explains. “(We are) still in talks.
“Everything is still open. We have given it some thought.”
Newcastle appear to be prioritising a more attack-minded left-back this summer. The reliable but limited Matt Targett and Dan Burn are currently Eddie Howe’s first-choice options. Guerreiro, like fellow target Kieran Tierney, could offer on the left-hand side what Kieran Tripper offers on the opposite flank, providing a steady stream of chances for the ever-improving Alexander Isak.
One of the most flexible and tactically-intelligent footballers in the game; Guerreiro has been utilised in more of an attacking midfield role of late, however; BVB coach Edin Terzic full of praise for the 29-year-old after Saturday’s 6-1 thumping of Koln.
Guerreiro scored once and set up another in that comfortable win. Three points which lifted Dortmund above Bayern Munich into top spot ahead of Der Klassiker on April 1st.
“Rapha has often been used as a left-back in recent years,” Terzic explains. “But we know he can also make good decisions in the midfield.
“He always gets into positions in the half spaces where he always finds solutions. We wanted to have a lot of ball-secure players in the centre on Saturday (vs Koln). He played a good game, we want to keep that open for the future as well.”
Guerreiro, in all competitions, has five goals and 11 assists this season.
