Leeds United and Everton scouted Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard last weekend, according to The Scottish Sun.

It has been reported that scouts from Leeds, Everton and Leicester City attended the Scottish Premiership game between Dundee United and Celtic at Tannadice Park on August 22.

Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are also interested in the 22-year-old striker, who is rated at £30 million, according to the report.

It has been added that Celtic are worried that the Frenchman will leave following the club’s exit from the Champions League in midweek.

Stats

According to WhoScored, Edouard has scored three goals in three Scottish Premiership games for Celtic so far this season.

Against United last weekend, the 22-year-old took four shots of which two were on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 70%, won one header, and took 29 touches, according to WhoScored.

Celtic stay?

Described as a player with “wonderful game intelligence” by his former Celtic teammate Dorus De Vries in The Sunday Post in July 2020, Edouard is a key figure in manager Neil Lennon’s side, who are aiming to make it 10 Scottish Premiership titles in a row this season.

It would be best for the Hoops if Edouard stays at the Glasgow giants and helps them in that quest.
