Leeds and Everton fans react on Twitter to Sam Byram’s Premier League debut

The West Ham full-back was called into action against Manchester City after Carl Jenkinson’s first-half injury.

Sam Byram was called into Premier League action for West Ham United far sooner than expected. After completing his move from Leeds this week, the 22-year-old started on the bench but ended up being introduced very early against Manchester City.

Cue plenty of reaction on Twitter from Everton and Leeds United fans – as well as West Ham supporters cheering the right-back on.

From the Whites faithful, there was nothing untoward. Supporters were delighted for Byram and expressed their happiness at seeing him make his top-flight debut.

A couple of Everton fans also expressed their regret at having missed out on him on social media, as Byram impressed during his first Premier League run out.

A couple also mocked the 22-year-old for starting on the bench, as he was said to have chosen West Ham over Everton for first-team football…
