Leeds United and Celtic were among the sides linked with Bristol City defender Aden Flint in the summer transfer window.

Bristol City defender Aden Flint was linked with a number of clubs in the summer transfer window.
Leeds United, Birmingham City and Celtic all were reported to be interested in the 28-year-old.
According to a report in The Mirror in July, Leeds and Birmingham asked about signing Flint in the summer transfer window.
The Birmingham Mail has claimed that Birmingham made as many as three bids for the defender but in vain.
According to The Scottish Sun (Transfer blog, August 31, 2017), Celtic were interested in securing the services of the former Alfreton Town star (click here to read more).

According to The Daily Mail’s live transfer feed (7:31 am, August 31, 2017), City wanted £5 million for Flint (click here to read more).
Flint was one of the best defenders for City last season, and one can understand why so many clubs were (reportedly) interested in the 28-year-old.
City, though, did no sell the former Swindon Town star, who has admitted that speculation over his future in the summer transfer window did affect him.

“I tried not to let it disrupt me massively,” The Birmingham Mail quotes Flint as saying regarding speculation over his future in the summer transfer window.
“But not knowing what was going on every time the phone rang was a bit stressful. The gaffer and I spoke to each other throughout the whole saga, which made it easier.
“I could have probably lost my head – I probably did a couple of times, getting frustrated in training or with myself. But I made sure I got my head down because it’s not just me in training, it is the whole team.”
