Mike Dean is set to take charge of Birmingham City v Leeds United.

Leeds United are back in action on Saturday afternoon as they travel to St Andrews to take on Birmingham City, with the Whites attempting to continue their push for promotion.
Saturday’s dramatic 3-2 home win over Millwall – coupled with Sheffield United’s defeat at home to Bristol City – means Leeds are back in the top two.
With seven games of the season left to go, Leeds are now in the box seat to claim second place in the Championship table, which would secure them a place in the Premier League once again.
This weekend though, Leeds face a potential banana skin as they travel to take on Birmingham City, who beat Leeds 2-1 at Elland Road back in September.
The Blues are managed by ex-Leeds boss Garry Monk, and he would love to snap a losing run with a win over his former club, especially after the recent blow of a nine-point deduction.
Now, there’s interesting news about the game, as Mike Dean has been named as the referee for the clash, with a big name appointed at St Andrews.

Dean is possibly the best known referee in the country, more for his bizarre, dramatic antics than his refereeing, and after a 100th red card in Manchester United’s clash with Wolves last night, he has only added to his card record.
Unsurprisingly, the news that Dean will be refereeing Saturday’s game hasn’t gone down well with either side, as fans of the two sides have taken to Twitter to share their concerns that Dean will be card happy or even give Leeds the benefit of the doubt in some decisions.
