Leeds United defender laughs off Aston Villa chant.

Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has quickly become a cult hero at the club, with a catchy terrace chant helping this along.

We reported earlier this month that Leeds fans were annoyed to hear Aston Villa supporters create their own chant along the same lines, but for Nathan Baker instead.

Now with the chant put into words for a T-shirt, it has caught the attention of Pontus Jansson himself, who appeared to mock it by posting pictures of laughing emojis, via Twitter.

Of the two clubs, it is Jansson’s Leeds United who are better placed at present to win promotion, and took four points from the meetings between the two clubs in the Championship this season.

Leeds are in third place, while Villa are in 13th place, after a loss to Wolves yesterday, putting them 13 points behind Jansson’s side.
