Douglas was surprisingly ruled out of Leeds’ 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Barry Douglas has posted on Instagram to inform Leeds United fans that he is on the road to recovery from a muscle injury, but he is expected to miss Wednesday night’s clash against Swansea.
The 29-year-old was a surprise omission from the Leeds side on Saturday afternoon as Kalvin Phillips cancelled out Lewis Wing’s opener to draw 1-1 with Middlesbrough at Riverside.
Instead of Scotland international Douglas, Leeds started Gjanni Alioski on the left side of defence and the Macedonia cap impressed once again in the absence of the former Wolverhampton Wanderers defender.
Marcelo Bielsa named his starting eleven to take on Swansea at Elland Road, and Douglas was not included – with the left-back sidelined beyond the clash. He posted on Instagram, stating he is closing in on a return “step by step”.
Douglas made the surprise £3million (Sky Sports) switch to Leeds in the summer from Wolves, despite helping the Midlands club gain promotion with an excellent 2017-18 campaign. He is yet to mirror that form at Elland Road.
Bielsa is expected to start with Kiko Casilla in goal, a back four of Luke Ayling, Pontus Jansson, Liam Cooper and Gjanni Alioski, Kalvin Phillips sitting behind Pablo Hernandez, Kemar Roofe, Mateusz Klich and Jack Harrison, while Patrick Bamford leads the attack.
