Leeds United winger Ian Poveda has been doing some serious strength work whilst in the treatment room at Blackburn Rovers.
The 22-year-old, who signed for Blackburn on-loan from Leeds in the summer, has been out of action since November with an ankle ligament injury.
But, during that period, whilst also getting his ankle back to its best, he has also been bulking up, as he showcased on Instagram.
There’s no doubt that the Leeds faithful will be impressed by Poveda’s physical condition and they will be hoping it helps him in the long run.
Going by Poveda’s IG snaps, he is slowly getting back to fitness, but still seems some way off.
Whether or not he can return for the last run-in for Blackburn might just prove to be unlikely.
If that’s the case, then it’s a shame for the flying winger because he had one goal and two assists to his name from his eight starts.
Tony Mowbray’s side are sitting in the play-off places and may well be a Premier League club by the time Poveda gets back on the pitch.
In fact, the Lancashire side may well swap places with his Leeds team, which would be something.
Although, with Leeds picking up their first win of the Jesse March era on Sunday, they will be hoping that’s not the case.
It was a quite dramatic encounter at Elland Road, with Norwich thinking they had equalised in the 90th minute through James McLean, only for Joe Gelhardt to score deep into stoppage time.
