Atletico Madrid superstar Joao Felix has revealed that his favourite club that he is yet to face off against is Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United in a surprise admission from the La Liga talent.
In a quick-fire Q&A with TikTok star Adri Contreras, the Portuguese international replied with ‘Leeds’ when asked about which team is his favourite that he is yet to play against, with Felix playing UEFA Champions League football ever since he was a teenager for both Benfica and Atletico.

Signed by the Spanish giants in 2019 for a reported £113m, Felix remains one of the most expensive players in world football, with the attacker a regular for Atletico under Diego Simeone and a part of the Argentine coach’s title-winning team in the 2020/21 season.
Given how many big teams Felix is yet to play against, especially from the Premier League, it’s quite surprising that the 22-year-old named Leeds as the one he wants to play against the most, with the Yorkshire side’s story clearly having an impact on the former Benfica superstar.
Marcelo Bielsa took Leeds from the Championship back to the Premier League in stunning fashion, with the Argentine coach bringing a huge international spotlight on the Elland Road side during his tenure at the club, with Marsch taking over the mantle this year and to impressive results.
Joao Felix naming Leeds is a testament to the club’s incredible rise

Leeds have established themselves as a staple of the Premier League since their promotion back in 2020, and Felix naming the club as he wants to play against proves just how far the Whites have come over the years, with some of the world’s best now willing to test their skills against their unique system.
And with Arsenal reportedly interested in signing the Atletico star, perhaps Felix will one day get his chance to face off against Leeds in what would be an interesting contest for the Portuguese international, who could be perfectly suited to the Premier League after years of coaching under Simeone.
