Rangers take on Celtic in the Scottish League cup semi-final this weekend.
Rangers’ Lee Wallace
Rangers captain Lee Wallace has told the club’s official website that they have a point to prove against Celtic this weekend.
The Gers take on their fierce rivals in the semi-final of the Scottish League Cup, the second time they have met this season.
Their first encounter was not a happy one for Mark Warburton’s side as they were comfortably beaten 5-1 at Celtic Park.
Rangers were heavily criticised after that defeat, with both the players and management coming in for criticism from fans and pundits alike.

It leaves them wanting to prove a point in this game and Wallace admits to the club’s official website they have the confidence to do so.
“I think that if there’s points to prove then it’s certainly just to ourselves, to our teammates, to our manager and our own families and fans,” he said.
“That’s our main focus. If there are points to prove then I think that we have the confidence and belief in ourselves that we can go there and win that game.”
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers before the game
It remains to be seen if Rangers can get revenge for that 5-1 when the two sides meet this weekend.
They will have learned multiple lessons from that first defeat at Celtic Park and will be determined to ensure they avoid a similar result this time around.
They will have to be wary of Brendan Rodgers side, who will be keen to bounce back from their disappointing defeat to Borussia Monchengladbach this week.
