Glasgow Rangers Lee Wallace hails Ibrox team-mate Myles Beerman.

Lee Wallace has told The Daily Record that he thought Myles Beerman impressed in his absence for Rangers last season.
The 18-year-old was promoted to first-team action by Pedro Caixinha toward the end of the 2016-17 campaign, and he did not let down the Portuguese manager.
The young left-back, who has since made his Malta debut, started six Premiership outings – including a 2-0 Scottish Cup semi-final defeat by Celtic at Hampden Park – after Wallace required surgery for a stomach tear.

And the Rangers captain has highlighted his performances and believes there is a fresh sense of competition for places in the squad.
“Myles Beerman stepped in very well last season,” he told The Daily Record.
“I don’t know many guys his age who managed to have two Old Firm experiences at the National Stadium and at his home stadium in a short period.

“For his learning and development it was crucial – he did great. So competition still exists, which we’re going to need if we want to be better moving forward.”
Rangers have signed eight new players this summer, while it could be 10 by the end of the week following speculation about Graham Dorrans and Jamie Walker.
Only one of the eight – Ryan Jack – is Scottish. Four are Portuguese, two are Mexican and one is Colombian, and it remains to be seen how they adapt to life in Glasgow.
