Lee Trundle has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his former Leeds United teammate Fabian Delph joining Everton from Manchester City.

Everton have secured the services of Delph from fellow Premier League club City for an initial transfer fee of £8.5 million, as reported by The Guardian.

Trundle played with the 29-year-old midfielder at Leeds back in 2009, and the former Swansea City forward has backed the England international to be a success at Goodison Park.

Good signing for Everton?

Trundle played with Delph at Leeds, and the 42-year-old is in a great position to give his verdict on the Englishman.

Delph is a very good midfielder with extensive experience in the Premier League, and his versatility to play at left-back is also quite appealing.

Although Everton do have a strong midfield department, a player of Delph’s quality and calibre is going to add depth to their squad, as Marco Silva’s side aim to break into the top six of the Premier League next season.
