Rangers have made a decent start to life under Steven Gerrard.

Rangers legend Lee McCulloch spoke exclusively to the Glasgow Evening Times, and insisted that anyone who says his former side have not improved under Steven Gerrard are kidding themselves.
The Glasgow giants have made a solid, if not spectacular start to their 2018/19 campaign, having taken eight points from their opening five Scottish Premiership outings, and they made smooth progress into the group stages of the Europa League.
Rangers undoubtedly look like more of a solid unit under Gerrard, and many fans and pundits alike are tipping them to make a sustained push for the league title this season.
McCulloch, who made 289 appearances for the Gers, told the Glasgow Evening Times how anyone who says his former side have not improved this season are kidding themselves:

“Anyone that says there is no improvement are kidding themselves on or just saying it to be heard. There is a massive difference to Rangers from last season and hopefully that continues.”
Next up for Rangers is their Europa League opener against Villarreal, and the clash against the Spaniards will be a real test of just how far Steven Gerrard’s men have come.
