Rangers have made a mightily impressive start to life under Steven Gerrard.

Rangers legend Lee McCulloch discussed his formeer club’s start to the season, when speaking exclusively to the Glasgow Evening Times, and shared what he believes would be a dream scenario for Steven Gerrard’s men.
The Glasgow giants have made a fine start to their Scottish Premiership campaign, and they currently sit at the top of the table, one point clear of Celtic.
They have also impressed on the continent, and need a win away at Rapid Vienna next week to qualify through to the knockout stages of the competition.
Steven Gerrard has already worked wonders during his short spell in charge of Rangers, and the club’s fans will surely be delighted with their side’s start to the season.
McCulloch, who made 296 appearances for the Gers, shared how topping the table at the end of December, as well as qualifying from their Europa League group would be the dream scenario for Gerrard, when speaking exclusively to the Glasgow Evening Times:

“If they could get through the next six Premiership fixtures and then be ahead of Celtic or within touching distance of Celtic after the Old Firm game that would be a superb first half of the season. If they could be in that position, and through to the knockout rounds of the Europa League, then that would be a phenomenal achievement from Rangers. That is the dream scenario for Steven but he knows better than anyone that there is so much hard work to be done between then and now. That has to be the target, though.”
Rangers welcome Aberdeen to Ibrox tomorrow night, and a win against Derek McInnes’ side really would make Celtic stand up and take notice of their bitter rivals.
