Steven Gerrard officially starts life as Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers boss today.

Gerrard will get to work as Rangers manager for the first time officially today, and there is great excitement around Ibrox.
McCulloch, who used to captain Rangers, has been in contact with some members of the current squad.

And he says that Rangers’ players are buzzing over the appointment of the Liverpool legend.
“Having spoken to a couple of players, they’re already excited about Steven coming in. As I would be and any Rangers fan would be – to have such an icon as your manager,” McCulloch said.
There is hope that Gerrard’s arrival at Rangers could help the Light Blues attract some top class talent to Ibrox.

Gerrard has already made three signings for Rangers, and more new additions are set to follow.
Gerrard has made no fanciful promises about catching Celtic, but there is a quiet confidence around Rangers that they will be able to start closing the gap to their Glasgow rivals in the coming years.
Rangers finished last season in third place, and Gerrard is expected to overhaul the squad in the coming weeks.
