Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers reportedly want to bring former Gers forward Kyle Lafferty to Ibrox this summer.

Rangers are reportedly interested in signing Lafferty from Scottish Premiership rivals Heart of Midlothian in the summer transfer window.
According to The Belfast Telegraph, Rangers have made as many as two bids for the former Ibrox forward.
It has been reported that the Gers’ initial bid of £200,000 and a second offer off of Lee Wallace plus cash has been turned down by Hearts, who are claimed to be demanding at least £750,000 for the Northern Ireland international.
Former Rangers captain McCulloch believes that Lafferty would be a good signing for Steven Gerrard’s side in the summer transfer window.
The 40-year-old former Scotland international has also said that securing the services of the former Norwich City forward will push Colombian striker Morelos, who has been on the books of Rangers since the summer of 2017 when he joined from HJK Helsinki for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £1.5 million.
McCulloch wrote in The Glasgow Evening Times: “Kyle hasn’t been a prolific scorer throughout his career but he is a scorer of important goals, as he showed with the winner for Hearts against Celtic.
“His goal return is good, he got 19 last season for Craig Levein’s side, and he would certainly add something to the Rangers attack.”
“It is clear that Steven wants another striker to come into the squad and it is important for him to have that competition for places up front,” added McCulloch.
“Morelos might be thinking that he will start every week no matter what and having someone like Kyle there pushing could help him improve again.”

Good signing for Rangers
Lafferty was brilliant for Hearts last season, and his winner against Celtic in the Scottish Premiership this past weekend showed that he is still capable of scoring big goals in big matches.
The Northern Ireland international forward would be a good signing for Rangers and would make Rangers’ attacking unite much better than it is at the moment.
