Celtic are eight points ahead of Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers in the Scottish Premiership title race.

Lee McCulloch has told The Glasgow Evening Times that Rangers can overturn an eight-point deficit and beat Celtic in the Premiership title race.
Celtic took a big step toward an eighth successive league crown on Sunday by scoring a last-minute winner in the dramatic 1-0 victory at Kilmarnock, a day after Steven Gerrard’s side dropped two big points at home to St Johnstone.
Rangers, who beat the Hoops in the most recent Old Firm encounter in December, still have a couple more Premiership games with Brendan Rodgers’s side this season.
And light Blues legend and Sky Sports pundit McCulloch is adamant that his former club can still win the title, though acknowledges that it’s a big challenge.
He told The Glasgow Evening Times: “It won’t be easy for Rangers, but they can still mount a challenge this season.
“There are still plenty of points up for grabs and still two Old Firm games to be played but it is clear that Rangers have it all to do.
“But you won’t see anyone at Rangers chucking the towel in. You can’t do that when you are at Rangers and they need to regroup for one last charge.”
Mathematically, of course Gerrard’s side can pip Celtic, but it’s a massive ask.

Despite the additions of Steven Davis and Jermain Defoe in January, the Gers haven’t enjoyed the rip-roaring start to 2019 that they perhaps should’ve.
There shouldn’t be such disparity between both Glasgow giants in the table, but time will tell whether they can fight back.
The next Old Firm game comes on March 31 at Parkhead.
