Rangers star’s qualities praised by ex Ger.

Rangers midfielder Scott Arfield won plenty of plaudits with his Old Firm derby performance at the weekend.
Lee McCulloch is one of his many admirers.
He told the Evening Times: “Some of the signings last summer haven’t worked out, but look at guys like Scott Arfield and the impact he has made this season.
“He is a midfielder that is a dying breed in the game in Scotland because he is able to get beyond the striker and score goals coming from the middle of the park.
“He has got a good understanding with Jermain Defoe and that partnership worked brilliantly for the second goal.”
What is most impressive about the Arfield deal is that Rangers managed to sign him on a free transfer.
He has scored 10 goals in 30 Scottish Premiership games and has featured strongly in both of the team’s home victories over Celtic this season.
Arfield has won over the Rangers fanbase and become one of the team’s most popular players.
If he carries on playing as he has done, there is nothing to suggest that will change.
