The Rangers hitman has struggled since moving to Ibrox in the summer.

Rangers legend Lee McCulloch backed Kyle Lafferty to come good, after the Northern Irishman’s recent struggles, when speaking exclusively to the Glasgow Evening Times.
The 31-year-old rejoined Rangers in the summer from Hearts, but he has struggled to establish himself in Steven Gerrard’s side, scoring just four goals in 18 appearances in all competitions.
Gerrard has guided his side to the top of the Scottish Premiership, and it is clear that Alfredo Morelos is his number one choice up front.
Lafferty certainly has his work cut-out, if he is to earn a regular starting spot in the Rangers side, but he definitely has the quality to do just that.
McCulloch spoke exclusively to the Glasgow Evening Times, and highlighted how the striker just needs a goal to give him that little bit of confidence that he seems to be lacking of late:

“Kyle Lafferty looks to me like a player who is really short of confidence at the minute. His early miss against Hamilton was absolutely incredible, and really not like him. He looks to me the archetype of a striker that just needs a goal. But one thing I can say about the big man from playing with him is that you can never write him off. He’ll come back and score an important goal or tear a full defence apart, I have absolutely no doubt about that.”
Next up for Rangers is a trip to Hibernian tomorrow night, and there will not be a better time for Lafferty to return to form than at Easter Road.
Whether Gerrard gives him an opportunity to do just that, however, remains to be seen.
