Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has received criticism from some sections of the Ibrox faithful in recent weeks.

Rangers legend Lee McCulloch spoke exclusively to the Glasgow Evening Times, and urged the Gers fans to stay patient with Steven Gerrard, after a difficult few weeks for the Ibrox club.
Gerrard took over as manager of Rangers in the summer, and he has undoubtedly overseen vast improvements from last season.
The Gers currently sit in third spot in the Scottish Premiership table, and are five points adrift of league leaders Hearts, although they do have a game in hand over Craig Levein’s side.
McCulloch, who spent eight years playing for Rangers, spoke exclusively to the Glasgow Evening Times, and urged the Ibrox faithful to get right behind Gerrard, as the 38-year-old continues to try and get the Glasgow giants back to where they should be:

“An unconvincing performance in the win against St Mirren on Saturday will have done little to quieten the critics and the doubters that have been putting their heads above the parapet just a little. But I would urge every Rangers supporter to keep the faith in Steven Gerrard and get behind him as he tries to take this club back to where it should be.”
Next up for Rangers is a trip to Spartak Moscow in the Europe League on Thursday night, and Gerrard’s men will quite simply have to be at their very best, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of leaving Russia with a positive result to show for their efforts.
