Bristol City have played Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Norwich City so far this season.

Lee Johnson has told Football on 5: The Championship, which was broadcast on 24th September, that Norwich City are the best side that his Bristol City team have faced so far.
Bristol City have been handed a tough set of fixtures to start off their season, and they have already had to play each of the teams relegated from the Premier League last term.
The Robins have been pitted against Norwich, Newcastle United and Aston Villa to mixed success.

Bristol City lost 1-0 to both Norwich and Newcastle, but they did pick up a 3-1 victory over Villa.
And when asked who the best side of the three relegated teams were, Johnson responded by saying: “I think Norwich are. I think that’s fair to say. They have some real senior players in there, who are established Championship and Premier League players.
“They are quick, powerful and big and they tick a lot of boxes that it takes to get promoted.”
Norwich are currently topping the Championship table, after beating Burton Albion 3-1 yesterday.

The Canaries have started the season in impressive fashion, and look likely to be in the promotion race at the end of the campaign.
Newcastle, too, have started the new term in encouraging form – and currently sit in fifth place in the Championship standings.
Villa, on the other hand, are struggling and have won just once in their first nine matches.
