The Robins are in grave danger of relegation to League One, and are only out of the drop zone on goal difference.
Bristol City’s manager Lee Johnson
Under fire Bristol City boss Lee Johnson has called on the club’s fans to pull together in an attempt to help guide the club away from relegation danger, as reported by the Bristol Post.
The Robins have lost 11 out of their last 15 matches, winning just once in that spell, and but for goal difference, would be in the bottom three.
The shocking form has seen Ashton Gate turn into an audible cauldron of hatred for Johnson, however the club were impeccably supported on their last two away trips to both Newcastle United and Aston Villa.
Ahead of a crunch fixture with fellow relegation battlers Burton Albion, Johnson has called on the home fans to show the same levels of support as they showed at St James’ Park and Villa Park, irrespective if they want him sacked or not.

“We should never under-estimate the importance of the crowd and the positivity they can spread,” Johnson said, as reports the Bristol Post.
“The last thing we need is for the atmosphere to be edgy on Saturday. In fact, if I can pick up the two and a half thousand fans who were at Newcastle and Villa and put them in the same section of the ground, I would do it.
“That would be a dream and would definitely take care of the atmosphere. We need everybody to stick together now.”

Two out of City’s upcoming three fixtures are against teams in close proximity to themselves as far as the league table is concerned, with a trip to Wigan Athletic following Saturday’s proverbial six pointer at home to Burton Albion.
With a home match against play-off chasing Norwich City sandwiched in-between the two crucial fixtures, whether Johnson gets as far as the Wigan game remains to be seen.
