Glasgow Rangers consolidated their position in the Scottish Premiership table with a 2-0 win at Ibrox.
Rangers defender Lee Hodson has told the club’s official website that he thought that James Tavernier was excellent during the side’s win over Hearts at the weekend.
Mark Warburton’s men consolidated their position in the Scottish Premiership with an impressive 2-0 victory over one of their main rivals for second place in the division.

The game saw Warburton’s two first-choices at right-back both make it into the starting line-up with Hodson keeping his place in the back line after impressing in their previous game with Aberdeen, while Tavernier was deployed slightly further forward.
And while reflecting on the game, Hodson suggested that he had been hugely impressed by his positional rival.
Rangers’ James Tavernier
“Tav is a top quality full-back and he can clearly play in other positions so he is very versatile, he can play centre-mid, right wing and obviously full-back,” he told the club’s official website.
“I thought he was excellent in the middle of the park against Hearts and that is another position he can play, it is down to the manager where we play.
“It has been nice to get game time because everybody wants to play and as a squad and a club winning those six points over the past two weeks was a great feeling.

With the two men currently enjoying such fine form, Warburton will be delighted that he is able to get them both into the team.
Hodson has perhaps been the better of the two when it comes to handling their defensive duties, while Tavernier showed last season just how brilliant he could be going forward, so it is hardly surprising that he is thriving playing in midfield.
