Steve Bruce is still able to bring players to Villa Park on loan.

Aston Villa icon Lee Hendrie has urged his former side to sign Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi this summer as the Championship outfit scour the market for loan signings.
Villa and the rest of the Football League are still able to sign players on loan until August 31, with the English transfer window’s August 9 deadline stopping Football League clubs from completing permanent deals.
The Midlands giants have money to spend after their recent takeover, and could do with additions on the flanks after losing Robert Snodgrass who returned to parent club West Ham following his 2017-18 loan.
Hendrie wants the club to sign England youth international Hudson-Odoi, despite many believing that the 17-year-old wonderkid may have a part to play in Chelsea’s campaign under new manager Maurizio Sarri.
Hudson-Odoi made his first-team debut last season and clocked up four appearances – two in the Premier League and two in the FA Cup. He has continued his progression into the first team by starting the Community Shield.
His breakthrough into Chelsea’s side comes after scoring 10 goals in 16 Under-23 appearances for Chelsea from out wide, as well as adding four assists.
Villa have made four signings this summer, bringing in goalkeepers Andre Moreira and Orjan Nyland, as well as midfielder John McGinn from Hibernian and re-signing Axel Tuanzebe from Manchester United.
