Josh Onomah joined Aston Villa in the summer transfer window.
Onomah joined Championship club Villa from Premier League outfit Tottenham on a season-long loan deal in the summer transfer window.
The 20-year-old midfielder arrived at Villa Park with a strong reputation, but the youngster has had a mixed time at the Villans so far.
The England Under-21 international has scored three goals and provided one assist in 12 Championship starts for Steve Bruce’s side so far this season.
Former Villa midfielder Hendrie has suggested that he has yet to fully convinced by Onomah.
In the build-up to the Championship match between Leeds United and Villa at Elland Road on Friday evening, Hendrie said on Sky Sports Football last Friday evening (7:31pm, December 1, 2017): “I have been sceptical. He has had a couple of good games for me.
“I still think there is a lot more to come from him. Yeah, he is only aged 20, but I just think that coming from a Spurs side, as an attacking midfield player as such, I would just like to see a little bit more, and I think creativity, I would like to see.”
Meanwhile, Keinan Davis has revealed that he could have moved to the USA before his switch to Villa in 2015.
The 19-year-old forward joined the Villans from Biggleswade Town in December 2015 and has established himself as an important player in Steve Bruce’s side.
“I’d been speaking to Dave Northfield and thinking what I should do because I was getting older,” Davis told Sky Sports. “They were organising clips to send over to American universities to see if any of them were interested.
“I had colleges asking and all I had to do was pick one and that would have been it. It was a matter of weeks but then [Villa came in] and the schedule just changed.”
