Ex-stars welcome Aston Villa appointment.

Aston Villa acted decisively last night to appoint Dean Smith as manager.
Smith leaves Brentford to replace Steve Bruce, with John Terry hired as his assistant, with the club confirming their appointments in a statement.
Smith was a boyhood Villa fan and has the task of getting the club back into the promotion race after a slow start to the season.
His appointment was welcomed by former Aston Villa stars.
Stan Collymore, Ian Taylor and Lee Hendrie all took to Twitter to wish Smith good luck and hope he can lead the club back into the Premier League.
Villa reached the play-off final last season, losing by a single goal to Fulham.
John Terry played in that game, which proved to be his last ever match as a professional, with the ex-Chelsea man formally announcing his retirement at the weekend.
Now he is back at Villa with Dean Smith to try and finish what he started.
