The Scottish forward is however still searching for his first goal for Oldham Athletic.

Leeds United boss Garry Monk decided this summer that Lee Erwin would benefit from spending time out on loan this term.
The Scottish attacker was therefore loaned out to Oldham Athletic in July.

Erwin has featured in six games for Oldham so far this season but is yet to score for the club. Erwin, who failed to net all of last season, is now without a goal since netting against Rangers in the Scottish play-off final in May 2015.
Speaking about his goal drought Erwin told the Oldham Chronicle:
“I don’t know.
“I just have to keep trying to hit the target and not let it get to me.
“I feel that the more I am playing, the more I am creating chances and it becomes more satisfying.”
Lee Erwin at Motherwell
But he went on to make it clear he was enjoying his football at Oldham after a difficult first season at Leeds last term:
“The manager had me at Motherwell too and he gives me a lot of confidence.
“After last season when I wasn’t playing, he brought me to Oldham where I have started enjoying playing my football again.”
Erwin was signed by Leeds last summer on a free transfer from Motherwell.
However, he struggled to make an impact for the club. He spent time out on loan at Bury and featured just 12 times for Leeds – starting just twice – in his debut season at Elland Road.
He is now clearly enjoying being involved in first-team football once again but will need to improve his performances if he is to force his way into the first-team reckoning at Leeds in the future.
