Lee Dixon has said that Liverpool and Argentina international midfielder Alexis Mac Allister will get better.
The former Arsenal star has said on NBC Sports that although Alexis Mac Allister is not having the best of times at Liverpool at the moment, the Argentina international midfielder will improve.
Dixon has noted that the current Liverpool system may not suit the 24-year-old.
The NBC Sports pundit made the comments about Mac Allister while analysing Liverpool’s win against Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home in the Premier League this past weekend.
Mac Allister struggled to make an impact in the first 45 minutes of the game and was taken off at half time.
Lee Dixon verdict on Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister
Dixon said about Mac Allister: “I think he will get better. This is no disrespect, and it’s difficult saying it because he has won the World Cup, but it’s not international football.
“It’s a different prospect playing week in and week out at Anfield and then away from home.

“He is a really good footballer, and the system might not suit him right now.
“He will come to his form when they get that right. He is a quality player.”
Alexis Mac Allister will come good for Liverpool
In our view, Liverpool fans need not worry about Alexis Mac Allister.
Although Mac Allister has had a mixed start to his Liverpool career following his move from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window, the Anfield faithful need not worry too much.
One bad game does not mean much in the grand scheme of things.
We believe that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will get the best out of Mac Allister.
Mac Allister has made 103 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
The 24-year-old midfielder has scored 16 goals and given five assists in those games.
