Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane netted a hat-trick for England on Saturday.

Harry Kane of England scores a goal from the penalty spot during the UEFA Euro 2020 qualifier match between England and Bulgaria at Wembley Stadium on September 7, 2019 in London, England.

Lee Dixon, Ian Wright and Roy Keane all agreed that Tottenham striker Harry Kane is one of the best in the country in taking penalties after he netted a hat-trick for England during their 4-0 win over Bulgaria on Saturday afternoon at Wembley.

It was a pretty comfortable victory for Gareth Southgate’s side in their Euro 2020 qualifier, with Kane scoring two of his three goals from the spot-kick – Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling netted the other goal.

This wasn’t the first time that Kane has scored from the penalty spot this season, he did so during Tottenham’s last Premier League outing when they drew 2-2 against their rivals Arsenal.

Nonetheless, speaking to ITV Sport (07/09/2019 at 7:00 pm), former Arsenal duo Dixon and Wright, as well as ex-Manchester United midfielder Keane, commented on Kane’s penalty-taking ability.

“His record speaks for itself,” Dixon told ITV. “It’s the pace he puts it in with that’s pretty impressive.”

On whether Kane is a good as a penalty-taker he has seen in this country: “Yes, he is,” Wright added. “On both sides. Obviously, he has been practising a lot.”

Keane added: “Every time he steps up you think he’s going to score. Great technique and then again the power behind his shots are fantastic.”

As expected, England have picked up maximum points from their opening three qualifying matches and they will now be preparing for a clash against Kosovo on Tuesday night at St Mary’s.

Kane wasn’t the only Spurs player featuring against Bulgaria, with Danny Rose starting at left-back and ex-Spurs man Kieran Trippier returning to the starting fold and playing at right-back.

Upon their return from international football, Kane and Rose will be preparing for a home clash against Crystal Palace as they bid to get out of their indifferent start to the new season.
