Lee Dixon has claimed that Tottenham’s Heung-Min Son is ‘faster with the ball’ than without it, as he told ITV Sport.
On Saturday, Spurs eased into the fifth round of the FA Cup when they beat fellow Premier League side, Brighton, 3-1 on home soil.
During a crucial moment of that game, Son showcased that burst in speed in his game when he played a huge part in Harry Kane scoring a crucial third for his side.
After going 2-0 down in the first half, the Seagulls pulled a goal back early in the second with Yves Bissouma getting on the scoresheet.
The momentum was with the away side, but that’s when Son killed the game off, as he drove at Brighton’s backline, knocked the ball past them, before eventually getting enough on the ball for Kane to slot into an empty net.
Former Premier League defender Dixon would have come up against his fair share of faced-paced forwards, as he commented on Son’s running speed.
“This is what Son is all about,” said Dixon. “When he has it in his mind to go past someone, he just drifts past them with his pace.
“His running ability with the ball. It’s like he is faster with the ball, than he is without it.”

Even though Son had been out of action for some while, and this was his first game back, he didn’t showcase it with his performance.
Signed in 2015 when Mauricio Pocehttino was in charge, Son has proven to be one of his best and the club’s signings.
During his time in the Premier League, Son has scored 78 goals and he is edging closer to joining the 100 club.
Kane’s name is already on that list and it won’t be too long before Son also becomes part of that elite group of players.
