The Gunners drew 1-1 with PSG in the Champions League in midweek.

Arsenal legend Lee Dixon has blasted the current side, telling ITV Sport that they are shocking without the ball.

The Gunners were fortunate in midweek as they secured a 1-1 draw against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

They had found themselves a goal down within 42 seconds in the game after Edinson Cavani headed past David Ospina.

They could have lost the game by four or five had the Uruguayan forward not wasted several clear-cut chances thereafter.

The performance has been widely criticised by fans and pundits alike, who believe Arsene Wenger’s side were lucky to escape with the point.

One man who was not impressed was Dixon, who blasted the Gunners’ wok when not in possession.

“It’s totally a balance thing for me,” he told ITV Sport.

“With the ball we’re brilliant, but without it absolutely shocking, they don’t know what they’re doing. There’s problems without the ball, it’s been like this for years now.”

Arsenal will now be keen to bounce back from the disappointing performance against PSG in the Premier League this weekend.

The Gunners are currently seventh in the table with seven points from their first four games.

Their next game sees them taking on newly promoted Hull City away from home, and they will be expected to win that game comfortably to move up the table.
