West Bromwich Albion and Burnley are reportedly interested in signing Lamine Kone from Sunderland in the summer transfer window.
Kone is one of the best players in the current Sunderland team and is good enough to play in the Premier League.
The 28-year-old central defender joined the Black Cats from French club Lorient in January 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Sunderland Echo to be worth £5 million.

With Sunderland playing in the Championship this season after getting relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2016-17 campaign, the Ivory Coast international centre-back has been linked with moves away from the Stadium of Light in the summer transfer window.
According to The Sunderland Echo, West Bromwich Albion and Burnley are interested in signing Kone from Sunderland this summer.
With the summer transfer window still open, perhaps the former Lorient defender will leave Sunderland, but his teammate Cattermole has spoken highly of his attitude amid speculation over his future.

“He’s been spot on and I think everyone’s attitude since the first day we came back for pre-season has been,” Cattermole told The Sunderland Echo about Kone. “That’s what we’ve drilled into everybody – this is how it’s got to be to get out of the division.
“If you’re not willing to show the right attitude, the door’s there but everyone’s doing the best they can and hopefully we’ll get the rewards. Lamine’s been different class.”
