The Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United men could have been teammates at Hillsborough.

The Sheffield United striker, Billy Sharp, has exchanged tweets with the Sheffield Wednesday coach, Lee Bullen.
Sharp won moment of the season at the English Football League’s end-of-year awards ceremony on Sunday evening, after scoring his 200th league goal earlier in the campaign.
Bullen later posted: “Forget rivalries…. this is an unbelievable achievement for any footballer”.
And Sharp replied: “Thanks mate, topman”.
Bullen has managed to rile several Sheffield United supporters with his Twitter activity throughout this season, but it is some of those of a Sheffield Wednesday persuasion who appear to have taken issue with the Scot’s above message.
Here’s how they’re responding:

Sometimes it’s better to say nothing at all
Bullen and Sharp could have been teammates at Sheffield Wednesday, only for the latter to reject a move to Hillsborough in favour of a return to Sheffield United in 2007.
Sharp is now in his third and most successful spell at Bramall Lane, where he used to watch the Blades as a fan.
The 33-year-old has scored 23 Championship goals this season, putting Sheffield Wednesday’s rivals in the driving seat for the division’s final automatic promotion place.
