Rangers are interested in signing Grant on a pre-contract agreement in the January transfer window, according to The Scottish Sun.
The 21-year-old forward is out of contract at the League One club in England at the end of the season.
Charlton manager Bowyer has said that he knows that Rangers want the former England Under-19 international.
The former Leeds United midfielder has also said that the Addicks are trying to get him to sign a new contract.
Bowyer told talkSPORT about Grant: “We haven’t had any approach from Rangers, but we are aware of their interest. It’s a compliment to the football club and to Karlan.
“It just shows that we are doing well and when you are doing well as a side then inevitably the players are doing well as individuals.
“Clubs are going to be looking to take our plyers and a big club like Rangers is obviously a compliment to us.
“We are negotiating a contract with Karlan, we are trying to get him to stay and we’ll have to see where that goes.”

Alfredo Morelos replacement
According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers are looking at Grant as a potential long-term replacement for star striker Alfred Morelos, who could have offers in the summer of 2019 and leave the Ibrox club.
The 21-year-old forward is playing well for Charlton at the moment, but perhaps Rangers should keep their options open and not rush into signing the youngster has been a success only at the League One level in England.
