Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter are delighted with a report about Japhet Tanganga.
According to The Evening Standard, Spurs are close to signing the 21-year-old up to a new contract.
Tanganga has been one of the few stars of Tottenham’s season but his existing deal expires next summer and fans of the North London club have been crying out for an extension.
But it looks like their prayers are set to be answered and here’s how they’re reaching to the rumour on Twitter:

Jose Mourinho clearly likes Tanganga a lot and being a coach famed for bringing on defensive players, taking them to a new level, it’s fascinating to see how he could develop under the Portuguese.
The Tottenham product is also versatile, being a natural centre-back but impressed in a big way at left-back during his stint in the first XI earlier this season.
A back injury has denied him any involvement since football resumed in the middle of June, but he has one hell of a future and if Tottenham can secure that future, it’s excellent.
