Erik Lamela celebrates with Victor Wanyama after scoring the first goal for Tottenham
This summer has seen Tottenham Hotspur look to improve their squad ahead of the new campaign.
They snapped up Dutch striker Vincent Janssen to help Harry Kane out whilst Marseille winger Georges-Kevin N’Koudou is looking like making the move to White Hart Lane as well.

Their first signing however was Victor Wanyama – snapped up from Southampton for a fee reported by the BBC to be in the region of £11 million.
He was arguably Spurs’ best player in their recent friendly defeat against Juventus in Melbourne and the hope is he can add some steel and dynamism to the Spurs midfield this term.
He has certainly impressed club ambassador Ledley King.

The one-club Spurs hero was talking to Fox Sports yesterday and made it clear he felt the Kenyan international had settled in well early on:
“I can see he looks very settled, comfortable around the other guys, which is good.
“There’s a great team spirit. The quicker the players settle in, the better for the team. He looks ready to go.”
Wanyama faces a battle to be a first-choice at Spurs – with the likes of Ryan Mason, Tom Carroll, Eric Dier, Mousa Dembele and Dele Alli for competition.

But he adds another option to the first-team as Spurs look to do battle on both the domestic and European front this campaign.
Hopefully Wanyama can prove integral to a successful season.
