Tottenham Hotspur drew 1-1 against Real Madrid in the Champions League clash on Tuesday night.

Tottenham Hotspur legend Ledley King took to social networking site Twitter to express his reaction after Spurs earned a 1-1 draw against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday night in the Champions League.
King said that it was a perfect away performance, with Spurs remaining solid at the back. He adds that he was proud to see the level of progress made by Pochettino’s side this season.
After absorbing early pressure from the home side, the north London club took the lead when Raphael Varane scored an own goal.
Madrid equalised before the half-time interval through Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored from the penalty spot.

In the second half Madrid came with all guns blazing, but not only Spurs defence stayed resolute they created a few good chances as well.
With Borussia Dortmund managing a 1-1 draw against Apoel, the result puts Spurs in a very good to qualify for the knock out stages.
King is absolutely spot on here. Last season, Pochettino’s side were knocked out from the Champions League group stages. This time, they are looking a much-improved team.

Considering Spurs missed several key players for this game, the result is a fair reflection of how far they’ve progressed under the Argentine.
