Tottenham Hotspur finally broke the Wembley jinx after they earned a narrow 1-0 victory against AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League.

After a stalemate first half, Christian Eriksen scored right after the break to give Spurs their first Premier League victory at Wembley.

Spurs had picked up maximum points from their four league games away from home this season. However, it was their first win in four attempts at their temporary home.

The north London club enjoyed an overwhelming 73% ball possession during the game, and attempted 18 shots, according to BBC Sport.

However, Bournemouth did well to prevent Harry Kane from scoring and Eddie Howe will take plenty of positives from the game.

After Eriksen scored, Howe had to throw on attacking reinforcements, and substitutes Jordon Ibe and Jermain Defoe nearly combined to restore parity.
