The Tottenham Hotspur boss has been ruthless in his shaping of the Spurs team.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino
Tottenham Hotspur get the chance to experience Champions League football again tonight, as they take on Monaco at Wembley stadium.
It comes after finishing third in the Premier League last season and is a real testament to the achievements of manager Mauricio Pochettino.
One person who is in no doubt to the magnitude of Poch’s impact is Spurs legend Ledley King.

The one club man and former Spurs captain had this to say to talkSPORT today (14/09/16) about the Argentine:
“The manager has installed a spirit in the team. They’re no pushovers.
“I think the manager has had a big part to play in that.
He went on to explain how important his transfer business, and ruthlessness, has been this summer:
“The first thing the manager did was try to decide who he wanted moving forward. He has got rid of some of the players that didn’t suit the system and bought in players he knows will suit the system.
“I think that is why it is working so well.”
Indeed, Pochettino made some big calls in the transfer market this summer.

Clinton N’Jie was replaced by Georges-Kevin N’Koudou whilst Heung-min Son must consider himself lucky to have remained with the club.
Getting rid of two youth-team products in both Nabil Bentaleb and Ryan Mason was a big call from the Spurs boss – but he had obviously decided they do not fit his game-plan for taking the club forward.
Pochettino’s replacements, Victor Wanyama and Moussa Sissoko, will now look to prove themselves big upgrades on the exited pair.
