Tottenham Hotspur picked up a brilliant win against North London rivals Arsenal at Wembley this afternoon. They dominated the game for large periods and came away with the win courtesy of Harry Kane’s second half header.

It was a brilliant performance from Spurs, who really should have taken more of their chances and ran away with a bigger scoreline.

There was plenty of top performances from Spurs players, but one man in particular who caught the eye was Mousa Dembele. The Belgian midfielder was incredible in the middle of the park, dominating the Arsenal triumvirate of Jack Wilshere, Mohamed Elneny and Granit Xhaka.

His performance was lauded by pundits and former players, including former Tottenham captain Ledley King. The legendary defender, who spent his entire career at Tottenham, sent out this tweet after the game:

Dembele was again brilliant for Spurs and fans at the club have often spoken of his sometimes unheralded world-class quality.

He helps the team tick and whilst the likes of Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli often take the headlines Dembele goes under the radar and continuously puts in incredible performances for Spurs.

Undoubtedly, he is one of the first names to go down on Mauricio Pochettino’s team-sheet every week and Tottenham fans will continue to enjoy watching him in action.
