Tottenham Hotspur will play Ajax in the semi-final of the Champions League.

Ledley King, Graham Roberts and Darren Anderton were absolutely delighted on Twitter after Tottenham Hotspur progressed through to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side beat Manchester City on away goals in one of the greatest games in European history, with goals, drama, injuries and VAR decisions all playing a part in a remarkable Wednesday night at the Etihad Stadium.
Right at the death, Raheem Sterling thought he had won the game for his side, but VAR intervened once again to rule out his goal and send the North London club through.
After the game, a number of Spurs legends, including King, Roberts and Anderton, sent these messages on their personal Twitter accounts.
In a stunning game filled with drama, five goals were scored in the first 21 minutes with City leading the actual game 3-2 at the time, but still losing on away goals.
In the second half, Sergio Aguero thought he had put one foot in the semi-final for his team when he added a fourth for his team, but Fernando Llorente scored from a corner with VAR ruling that it didn’t come off his arm.
Tottenham will now play Ajax in the last four after they knocked out Juventus on Tuesday night. The winner of that tie will play either Barcelona or Liverpool. As a result, it has increased the chance of the Champions League final being an all English affair.
