The Spurs legend has been impressed with the side’s ability to pick up results when not at their best.

Tottenham Hotspur legend and former captain Ledley King has been speaking about his former club ahead of their clash with Leicester City in the Premier League this weekend.
The one club man spent his entire career at Spurs and, after a spell coaching the side, he is now a club ambassador.

He was speaking to Reuters, as reported by Eurosport, about his former team and their ability to be title challengers for the current Premier League campaign.
He suggested that Spurs’ ability to get results, even when not playing their best football, is a clear indicator that they can challenge for the Premier League title this season:
“Everyone wanted to see how Spurs would bounce back after the end of last season and I think they’ve shown they are a team that have to be taken seriously as title contenders.

“I’ve been very impressed with them so far this season. Even when the team haven’t played to their best they’ve still managed to find a way to get a result and that’s what you need to do if you want to be a team that tries to win the league.”
Spurs have recently struggled in draws against Bournemouth and West Brom but remain the only unbeaten team in the Premier League at this stage of the season.

Leicester won the Premier League title this season – despite being pushed until late in the season by Tottenham.
However, Mauricio Pochettino’s men came up short in the end with silly results at the end of the season costing them
King clearly feels that is not a problem that will befall his beloved Spurs for a second season running.
