Jurgen Klinsmann and Ledley King have both applauded Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur on Twitter after the north Londoners earned an excellent 3-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday night.

Spurs made it three wins from three Premier League outings, taking the lead in the 50th minute as Harry Kane stooped highest to expertly head home Kieran Trippier’s corner from all of 10 yards.

Just two minutes later, Lucas Moura scored a well-taken second after Trippier had played through Christian Eriksen, who got his head up to find the on-rushing Moura. He calmly finished into the bottom corner of the net.

Moura then scored his second with only five minutes left, skinning Chris Smalling before smashing the ball past David De Gea. Klinsmann was amazed by Spurs performance, as was King who chose to praise the 26-year-old Brazilian.

Only his fifth Premier League start for Spurs, and 14th appearance in total, Moura continued his excellent start to the season which now sees the former Paris Saint-Germain striker sit on three goals from three league games.

Tottenham currently sit in second place in the Premier League and are one of four teams to have picked up three wins from their opening three fixtures, along with Liverpool, Chelsea and Watford.

They travel to Vicarage Road to face the in-form Watford on Sunday afternoon, as they look to keep pace with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City and mount a title challenge come the end of the season.
