LeBron James is deep in the golf world after taking up the sport in the summer.
The NBA’s all-time leading scorer admitted that he doesn’t watch much of the league anymore, and instead spends his time watching YouTube golf and the PGA Tour.
He was recently seen playing alongside Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum, and now he’s teed off with one of the very best players in the game, Jon Rahm.
Rahm is a two-time major winner and one of LIV Golf’s biggest stars, and he made a post to Instagram alongside James before the Los Angeles Lakers play the Phoenix Suns.

Jon Rahm poses with LeBron James on Instagram
Rahm posted a picture with James on Instagram with the crown emoji – a nod to James’ nickname, “The King”.
The post included the location of Silverleaf Club in Phoenix, a golf course in Scottsdale, Arizona. Rahm lives in Scottsdale, so it appears that Rahm and James met in Rahm’s hometown for a round.
Phoenix is home to some of the best golf courses on the planet, according to Charles Barkley, who also lives there.
So it’s the perfect place for James to sneak in a round of golf with one of the best players on the planet before he plays the Phoenix Suns the following day.
Why Jon Rahm once said he doesn’t ‘envy’ LeBron James
Rahm won two major championships, including the 2023 Masters, on his rise to golfing stardom, which invited a different level of media scrutiny than he had experienced before. Then he joined the controversial LIV Golf league in a shocking move, which invited a host of pressing questions.
Because of that, he spoke about how he sympathises with James because of the sheer amount of media attention he gets.
Speaking before the 2025 Masters, he said, “Have you ever seen press conferences that LeBron James gives?
“Just feels like they’re out to get him every single day. So I don’t envy him one bit in that regard. But no, not that big a change in that part. I think a lot of it was more internal in my case than external.”
Since the early 2000s, James has been at the centre of the American media’s attention, so no one can relate to Rahm more than the NBA superstar.
