LeBron James returned from his sciatica injury to rejoin the Los Angeles Lakers this season.

Entering year 23, LeBron James still has his sights set on trying to win his fifth NBA Championship.

The Los Angeles Lakers might have a good chance to do that with Luka Doncic playing at a high level and the team sitting in second place to begin the season.

James used some time off over the Thanksgiving break to record the latest episode of Mind the Game, where he revealed the most dominant player he has ever played against.

LeBron James reveals Nikola Jokic as the most dominant player he’s played

With James’ time in the league coming to an end, Nikola Jokic has taken over the NBA.

He has dominated the 2020s thus far and he looks poised to win his fourth MVP and possibly even his second NBA title with the Denver Nuggets.

Jokic and the Nuggets have had LeBron’s number recently, as the Nuggets have eliminated the Lakers the last two times they met in the playoffs.

James named Jokic as the most dominant and complete player he has played against, which is the ultimate compliment to Jokic.

“There has not been a more dominant, complete player that I’ve played against in a sense of all the attributes that you just mentioned, from the passing to the shooting to the rebounding to the attention.

“I mean, there’s nothing he cannot do on the offensive end, like nothing at all. Nothing.

“You try to double him, he’s going to make you pay. You try to play him single coverage, he’s going to make you pay.”

Nikola Jokic is in a league of his own right now

With the amount of great young talent in the league right now ranging from reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Victor Wembanyama, Jokic has still proven he’s the undisputed best player in the world.

Jokic has averaged 29.6 points, 12.8 rebounds and 11.1 assists through 17 games this season, as the Nuggets are tied with the Lakers for second place in the Western Conference.

Through the early part of the season, Jokic has established himself as the favorite to win the MVP award.

Jokic has already been referred to as the GOAT by some, and if he can go on to win another MVP along with another title and Finals MVP, he could warrant even more GOAT talk.
