LeBron James created a playful moment before tipoff by sneaking up behind Draymond Green and blocking his shot during warmups.

The exchange took place at Chase Center prior to the Los Angeles Lakers facing the Golden State Warriors.

The brief prank quickly became a talking point before the game began, as the rivals-turned-friends exchanged a laugh.

LeBron James catches Draymond Green off guard in warmups

Draymond Green was attempting free throws when LeBron James quietly approached from behind and swatted the shot away.

The unexpected block as Green was taking a shot interrupted what had been a standard pregame routine for the Warriors forward.

Green reacted with laughter before dapping up James and sharing a hug near the baseline. The pair then exchanged a few words before resuming their individual warm-up drills.

10 years ago, a moment like this between LeBron and Draymond would have been inconceivable, given how hard they competed against each other.

Lakers follow light moment with convincing victory

The pregame joke gave way to a one-sided contest, with the Lakers securing a 129-101 win over the Warriors.

Luka Doncic recorded 26 points, six rebounds and eight assists, while James contributed 22 points, seven rebounds and nine assists.

Green posted seven points and six rebounds in 24 minutes as Golden State continued to play without the injured Steph Curry.

The LA Lakers picked up a much-needed win to go 35-24 this season, as they look to find a top spot in the Western Conference.
