Brighton & Hove Albion fans are desperate to keep hold of Tariq Lamptey amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
Sky Sports say that Tottenham are keen on the rapid right-back, who caught the eye over the past campaign.
Lamptey actually missed a sizeable chunk of the season with injury, but the impact that he had in the early part of the campaign was very impressive.
Tottenham are now said to be eager to bring in the right-back.
But Brighton fans are largely confident of keeping Lamptey, despite Spurs’ interest.
Strong potential option?
If Lamptey was to join Tottenham he would certainly be an appealing option.
The 20-year-old looks a huge prospect, and his pace makes him a major attacking threat.
Spurs’ current options at right-back all face question marks, with Serge Aurier and Matt Doherty failing to convince last term.
And if Tottenham could pull of the transfer it would be a reason to be positive, although there must be questions over whether they can afford the deal, given their limited budget.
