Reported Tottenham Hotspur target Gareth Bale has continued to burn his bridges with Real Madrid fans after his latest tweet.

Bale appeared in a BT Sport advert as a golfer, which did little to increase his popularity at the Bernabeu.

Madrid supporters have accused Bale of dedicating too much time towards golf and not enough to football recently, which has led to suggestions that he could return to Tottenham.

Quatro said earlier this month that Bale wanted to move back to Spurs, with Jose Mourinho keen.

And Madrid fans are now actively encouraging him to move away from their club.

Tottenham fans, of course, will be sceptical over any report linking Bale with a return.

The Madrid wide-man has been said to be a Spurs target for a number of years, but the difficulties of bringing him back are obvious.

Bale is on a massive contract at Madrid and unless he takes a pay cut, and move to Tottenham is practically impossible.

If he was to move back Bale would improve the quality available at Spurs hugely though, as he remains one of the finest players in the world, despite falling completely out of favour in the Spanish capital.
